August 15, 2008

Went to Fond du Lac armed with:
1) A Dictaphone to tape Grandma (didn't use it because Grandma wasn't home)
2) A bike...didn't use it because Kelly was babysitting someone
3) Baseball equipment...used it myself because Joel Z. couldn't play because he worked Saturday morning and as mentioned earlier, Kelly was babysitting.

I called Kelly at least 3-4 times today and left messages two out of those three times. I figured I could at least tape Grandma if anything.

Well, after my last message to Kelly, I headed to McDermott Park to play some ball. This is the same field that Tony and I played on when we were about 7-8 years old. We were on some little kid league. I didn't want to go one day and said to Tony that I didn't feel like going because all you do is stand there and sweat. He told the coach and I decided to never go back. (I was a wuss)

Since it was just me playing, I'd hit the two balls into the outfield. Then I'd run out to the outfield, grab the balls, and run back to home plate. I did this about 20 times before I decided to quit. I was really hammering them out there which made for a lot of running.

Got to Kelly's and asked Kayla to check if my phone was broken. I figured there had to be some reason Kelly didn't answer all day. She acknowlaged that she knew she had messages, but didn't know that she missed any calls. Kelly, Kelly, you could have saved me a trip. We still had a good time though.
Grandma wasn't answering her phone all night either and we thought that maybe something happened to her. We went to her apartment and luckily found it was empty. Grnadma rolled in about 11pm. Turns out she spent the night with her old co-worker Judy.

Grandma and Kelly sang this song, and then we were out.

I called Kelly in the morning and got no answer. I didn't leave a message though. She did call me back late afternoon but never mentioned that I had called her. That's our Kelly. What would we do without her?

So I see how we rate again. Here we are with nothing to do and Andy is in FDL and he never tried to call us.
