March 26, 2008

This morning I got up and went to Chicago. I didn't have batteries for my camera. However, here's the next best thing....from memory, I was able to sketch out images from my trip. This is how they did it in the old days. Without further ado......
The drive was alright. Not really anything to write home about. I called into some stupid sports radio show to say that the Brewers trumped the Bucks when it came to which team was the biggest let-down over the last 25 years.

I had a few things that I had picked out prior. Seeing items in person made me change my mind. It was hard to make a decision and I kept reminding myself that I wouldn't be spending Monopoly money. That made me abort a couple items from my cart.

I went to visit Beth and Gabe. Gabe was nice enough to burn me some music/movies. Also showed me some stuff on the new computer he is building. Then Beth and I went to get something to eat (Gabe had to work).

The drive home was brutal. For some reason my radio stopped working. Anyone that knows me will realize that talk radio is my bread and butter. Without it I'm a sleepy driver. After a half hour without it I treated myself to a Shamrock shake. I stopped by the hospital around 9:45 to visit with Grandma Mac. Even though she was in bed, she seemed to be happy that I stopped. We talked for about a half hour. It was hard to leave. I offered to break her out of there but she laughed it off.
