On May 10, 1999...I took Grandma Lee on a "photo shoot". I wanted to capture Grandma with some familiar sites as a background. At the time I was using my trusty Pentax 35mm camera. I told Grandma that I felt there weren't really any good pictures of her in front of her house. Grandma was more than willing to pose where I wanted her too. She said that she was just happy to spend time with me. I took her to A&W as payment for services rendered.

On the bench next to the lighthouse. Note the stick...added for effect. I have an 8*10 picture of this autographed by Grandma. It used to hang in my room.

Fans at the Bears/Vikings game. I scouted the area for people selling cheap tickets. No luck. Seemed that lots of people from Minnesota made the trip to Chicago.
I'm not sure how much longer the old Chess Building will be around. Seems that it's crumbling.
Inside the old Chess Recording Studios. This was taken from the back of the studio facing the control room.
This was taken from in front of the control room facing the back. The studio used to look the same except for a wall that separated the wood paneled area from the main studio. The wood paneled area was the rehearsal room.
The alley behind the old Chess Records. The double doors go into the receiving area. The single door to the right of that opens to an old staircase that leads up to the recording area.
My car in front of Chess Records. I was the only one in the building besides the guy working. I got to spend a whole hour in the studio BY MYSELF!
